This is a 3D rotating brain I found showing audiovisual activity.  The orange areas are involved in visual processing (note the huge blob on the back where the occipital lobe and V1- the primary visual cortex- are), while the blue areas are those involved in auditory processing- areas in the temporal lobe and along the Sylvian Fissure, which is the big sulcus (or groove) that divides the temporal lobe from the frontal and parietal lobes.  Another interesting thing is that you can see how much of the brain is devoted to visual processing- vision is quite complex and requires a lot of mental effort that the brain does so eloquently and easily- entirely unconsciously.  I just thought this was a nifty animation of some sensory functional imaging. Enjoy!

This Karl Kwasny piece (from the upcoming Ulysses Tea?) seems to have been orphaned somewhere along the way… Let’s fix that!
Karl is tumblin here, if you like this piece as much as I do.
